The Mass Tort Litigation Group is dedicated to applying its extensive experience in successfully prosecuting and defending large, complex class and mass tort actions. Our Mass Tort attorneys are also members of Stark & Stark’s Litigation Teams investigating and pursuing pharmaceutical, medical device and toxic tort claims in mass tort and multi-district litigations, both pending and contemplated, throughout the nation. These include actual and potential claims involving Fosamax®, Actonel®, Aredia® and Zometa® Litigations; Yaz®, Yasmin®, and Ocella® Litigations; Nuvaring® Litigations, Darvocet® and Darvon® Litigations, DePuy ASR® and DePuy Pinnacle Hip Replacement Litigations; Crestor® claims, and Actos® claims.

Kevin M. Hart

Kevin HartKevin M. Hart is the Chairman and Senior Litigation Counsel of the Stark & Stark Mass Tort Litigation Group. Mr. Hart has over 30 years of experience as a trial attorney stemming from his work as a Deputy Attorney General with the State of New Jersey, Division of Criminal Justice, to his development and management of several practice groups at Stark & Stark. Currently, Mr. Hart is Co-lead Trial Counsel representing numerous plaintiffs in the mass tort environmental contamination case of In Re Bristol-Myers Squibb Environmental Contamination Litigation. Mr. Hart has been certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney since 1994.

Craig S. Hilliard

Craig S. Hilliard Craig S. Hilliard is a Shareholder and member of the Stark & Stark Mass Tort Litigation Group. Mr. Hilliard has extensive experience prosecuting and defending class actions involving securities and consumer fraud claims. He has served as trial counsel to three broker-dealer defendants in one of the largest class actions in the country. Mr. Hilliard has considerable experience litigating claims, as counsel to both plaintiffs and defendants, under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Acts. He practices in numbers State and Federal jurisdictions and was recently admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

 

Martin P. Schrama

Martin P. Schrama Martin P. Schrama is a Shareholder and member of the Stark & Stark Mass Tort Litigation Group. Mr. Schrama has extensive experience prosecuting and defending class actions involving securities, employment and consumer fraud claims. Currently, Mr. Schrama is Co-lead Trial Counsel representing numerous plaintiffs in the mass tort environmental contamination case of In Re Bristol-Myers Squibb Environmental Contamination Litigation. Mr. Schrama is also supervisory counsel for numerous Stark & Stark Litigation Teams. Mr. Schrama has extensive experience litigating on both the trial and appellate levels of the federal and state courts of New Jersey and New York, as well as numerous other jurisdictions throughout the nation.

 

Stefanie Colella-Walsh

Stefanie Colella-Walsh Stefanie Colella-Walsh is a Senior Associate and member of the Stark & Stark Mass Tort Litigation Group where she concentrates her practice in complex litigation with a focus in mass tort and pharmaceutical litigation. Ms. Colella-Walsh is also a Senior Associate in several of Stark & Stark’s Litigation Teams. Ms. Colella-Walsh has extensive experience as a trial attorney throughout the state of New Jersey.

Joseph M. De Fazio

Joseph M. De FazioJoseph M. DeFazio is an Associate and member of Stark & Stark’s Litigation Group where he concentrates his practice in Mass Torts, Pharmaceutical Litigation and Intellectual Property matters. Prior to joining Stark & Stark, Mr. DeFazio served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Peter F. Bariso Jr., P.J.Cv, Superior Court of New Jersey, Hudson County. While working for Civil Presiding Judge Bariso, Mr. DeFazio drafted bench memoranda for civil matters analyzing issues and recommending disposition. He also served as a certified mediator for Special Civil and District Court matters.
