This particular chapter seeks to provide a better understanding of the complex litigation models used to resolve tort related environmental law causes of action in the State of New Jersey—the class action and the multicounty litigation (“MCL”). The former is a product of both federal and state law and is often used to resolve diverse disputes across the country.
